Sort lists into groups
Once a handful of lists has turned into many, you can combine them into groups on the overview – for example household, holiday or projects.
Not the same as automatic grouping
List groups organize whole lists on the start screen. Automatic grouping organizes the items inside a single list by supermarket-like areas. The two are independent and can be used together.
Create a group
Open the list you want to file away, tap the three vertical dots at the top right and choose the group entry. Type a name and choose to create a new group. Existing groups can be searched in the same field and picked directly, and the no group option takes the list back out.
Groups on the overview
Lists without a group stay at the top, followed by the groups with their name and list count. Tapping the header collapses or expands a group. The menu on the header lets you rename the group, move it up or down, and delete it.
Move lists
Use the handle on the right of a list to drag it somewhere else – into another group or back out of one. Dropping a list onto a collapsed group expands that group automatically.
What deleting does
Deleting a group keeps every list. They simply appear ungrouped again. Empty groups are hidden until a list is filed into them.
Groups stay on your device
Your grouping is a personal order and is not shared with anyone. People who use a shared list with you file it away themselves. If you sign in with an email address later, Fajo asks once whether the groups you created locally should be carried over.
Questions
Do I need an account for list groups?
No. Groups work without signing in because they are stored on your device.
Do others see my groups on a shared list?
No. Groups are your own ordering. The shared list itself stays the same for everyone.
Are my lists deleted when I delete a group?
No. The lists remain and are shown ungrouped afterwards.
